Everybody is welcome to join the IBUS Group. Anybody wanting to become a member of the Association has to submit a written application, the acceptance of which will be decided by the Executive Board. Individual and institutional members can fill out the application form online (or use Link to PDF) and make the membership payment as well online.

Biography

Dr Anil Asthana is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He completed his undergraduate medical degree from Kings' College London, UK. Anil completed his Gastroenterology training from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has expertise in IBD and his special interests include GIUS. He is one of the few physicians in Australia performing this. He was given the VESKI award for his work on GIUS in IBD. Dr Anil Asthana has published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals and textbook chapters and continues his focus on training physicians using GIUS in IBD and functional gut disorders.

Biography

Kerri is the mother of two girls and loves the mountains. Kerri is an academic gastroenterologist based at the University of Calgary, IBD unit. She is passionate about bowel ultrasound and believes ultrasound will change the way we understand the gut and how we practice gastroenterology.

Biography

Dr. Rune Wilkens, ph.d. is a Gastroenterology & Hepatology Fellow in Denmark. Rune learned his ultrasound skills from two years in Radiology with focus on abdominal ultrasound. He trained in Intestinal ultrasound in Germany and Canada and made his ph.d. within Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound in Crohn's Disease. Runes main interests are IBD, Imaging with special focus on Ultrasound and MRE, Healthcare IT, innovation and communication.
