Open Elections: Secretary
Notice is hereby given that the following position on the Governing Board of IBUS is open for election:
- Secretary
The term of office is three (3) years for Secretary with one reelection possible.
Secretary Responsibilites:
Main responsibilities include:
- Presence at Governing Board meetings and Oerational Board meetings to contribute to current and strategic development
- Collating, organizing and recording the active issues within the Governing Board.
- Creating drafts of the monthly Governing Board meeting agendas, for review, edit / approval by the President.
- Reviewing and editing draft minutes from all Governing Board meetings, prepared by the office, for approval.
- Communicating with the office regarding active ongoing issues to be addressed/ prioritized by Governing Board
- Serve as main Governing Board contact person for one of the IBUS committees
Application Process:
Candidates applying for the Secretary seat are kindly asked to submit their application below, including a short CV (≤2 pages*), a letter of motivation (≤1 page*) and a short video (≤ 3-minute*) explaining the candidate’s vision for this position. Candidates should be aware that the completion of a COI (Conflict of Interest) form is required in order to be considered. This will be sent upon completion of your application and must be completed by the deadline.
*Please be aware that applications exceeding these limitations will not be considered.
All applications, including the presentation video, letter of motivation and CV will be accessible to IBUS Members via the IBUS portal starting from April 14th, 2026.
Election Process:
We would like to offer the opportunity to all IBUS Members in good standing to vote for these positions regardless of their location. For this reason, their election will take place online and will be open in the week leading up to the Extraordinary Members' Meeting.
Voting Opens: Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 – 1.00 pm CEST
Voting Closes: Monday, April 20th, 2026 – 1.00 pm CEST
Voting will be conducted privately through the IBUS Members' Portal. All votes cast are anonymous with each member permitted to cast only one vote.
IBUS office will tally the results and inform Governing Board and all candidates of the results by the morning of April 21st, 2026. The results of the elections will then be shared online during the Extraordinary Members’ Meeting on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, 8.00pm CEST.
Further information on how to vote online will be shared in January before opening the online election.
