IBUS eIUS Ed Project

The IBUS eIUS Ed Project (Development of eLearning Platform For Standardization, Development of Competency Measures and Dissemination of Intestinal Ultrasound Education Globally), supported by The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, is an innovative, multi-arm pilot program designed to transform Module 2 intestinal ultrasound training.

By integrating traditional hands-on experience with enhanced digital learning, the project aims to evaluate whether a blended learning approach can improve educational outcomes, standardize training, strengthen competency assessment, and potentially accelerate the conventional four-week training pathway.

Initiated at the end of 2023, the project is currently in the data collection and evaluation phase, with the group investigators analyzing outcomes to assess the impact of this new educational model.
