This course is in collaboration with DVGS - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gastroenterologie\, Verdauungs- und Stoffwechselkrankheiten and Kompetenznetz Darmerkrankung. \nThe primary aim of this workshop is to establish standardized\, high-quality techniques for performing IUS examination among physicians with minimum 300 performed procedures over the last 3 years. \nThe workshop consists of 2 parts: \n\nTheoretical and didactic training: participants will engage in an interactive\, self-directed eLearning course via IBUS\nPractical training: the hands-on experience component will be facilitated through an introductory face-to-face course involving sessions with patients\n\nUpon completion of the workshop\, participants will undergo theoretical and practical exams. Those who successfully pass the course will receive an IBUS Level 1 Certificate (no further Module 2 or 3 required). \n\n\n			Application process	\n\n	The application process is divided into the following 3 steps: \n1. Submission of application: To be taken into consideration for the application process\, fully completed applications must be submitted by Thursday\, June 18th\, 2026. Applicants must submit together with their CV\, a Letter of Recommendation from their Head of Department. During the application process applicants will be prompted to confirm their commitment to completing the eLearning component of Module 1 before attending the hands-on part (this is a mandatory prerequisite for attending the hands-on training for a fee of 250 EUR + 19% VAT - more information on the content and cost can be found here.) \n2. Review and selection: the review of applications and selection of participants will be conducted by late June. \n3. Workshop registration: the selected applicants will receive an invoice for the participation fee (350 EUR + 19% VAT). Registration to the workshop will be confirmed upon receipt of payment by the IBUS Group. \nSelected applicants must be active IBUS members. For further information on how to become an IBUS member\, please visit our website here. \nThe eLearning and workshop participation fee is 250 EUR + 350 EUR + 19% VAT and includes participation to the lectures and hands-on practical sessions as per preliminary program.
