This workshop is organized in collaboration between the International Bowel Ultrasound Group e.V. and the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR)\, under the medical lead of Dr. Isabelle De Kock. \nThe primary aim of the IBUSXP is to establish standardized\, high-quality techniques for performing IUS examination among physicians with a minimum of 300 performed procedures over the last 3 years. \nThe workshop consists of 2 parts: \n\nTheoretical and didactic training: participants will engage in an interactive\, self-directed eLearning course via IBUS\nPractical training: the hands-on experience component will be facilitated through an introductory face-to-face course involving sessions with patients\n\nUpon completion of the workshop\, participants will undergo theoretical and practical exams. Those who successfully pass the course will receive an IBUS Level 1 Certificate (no further Module 2 or 3 required). \n\n\n			Application process	\n\n	The application process is divided into the following 3 steps: \n1. Submission of application: Interested applicants must first officially register for the ESGAR Masterclass in Small Bowel Imaging: Hands-on MR & Ultrasound via the ESGAR website. During the registration process\, they will be redirected to the IBUSXP workshop application. Fully completed applications must be submitted by Thursday\, November 19th\, 2026. Applicants must submit their CV\, and Letter of Recommendation from their Head of Department or Letter of Motivation\, and confirm their commitment to completing the mandatory eLearning component of the IBUSXP Workshop before attending the hands-on part (more information on the content and cost can be found here.) \n2. Review and selection: Applications will be reviewed and participants selected by late November 2026. \n3. Workshop registration: The selected applicants will receive an invoice for the eLearning course fee (250 €) from IBUS. Registration to the workshop will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. \n\n\n			Fees & practical information	\n\n	The fees are: \n2027 Masterclass in Small Bowel Imaging: Hands-on MR & Ultrasound:\nESGAR Member: 950\,00 €\nNon-Member: 1\,250.00 €\nESGAR member in training: 550.00 €\nNon-Member in training: 750.00 € \nIBUSXP eLearning Introduction course for selected participants:\n250\,00 € + 19% VAT \nThe workshop fee includes participation in the lectures and hands-on practical sessions as per the program. Travel and accommodation are not included. \nPlease note that the workshop will be held in English. \n\n\n			Eligibility Criteria and Selection	\n\n	Applicants must: \n\nhave access to an ultrasound machine\nhave performed at least 300 IUS procedures within the last 3 years\nbe an active IBUS member at the time of selection.
